Devin O'Donnell

Devin O'Donnell is a Technical Advisor at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre since September 2021, also serving as an Independent Consultant and previously as a Junior Researcher. At Boston University School of Public Health from October 2020 to May 2022, Devin played a key role as Program Manager in establishing the Program for Climate and Health, significantly increasing membership and coordinating communications and events. During a fellowship, Devin authored and published 40 articles on public health. Devin's early experience includes a Climate and Equity internship at the US Environmental Protection Agency in mid-2021. Devin holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan.

The Climate Centre’s mission is to help the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its partners reduce the impacts of climate change and extreme-weather events on vulnerable people. A core objective is to make the best global scientific insights operable at the local level. Key elements include support for awareness-raising and capacity-building, especially in developing countries whose people are the most vulnerable to climate change.
