Evan Garris

Evan Garris has a diverse work experience. From 2016 to 2022, they worked for VANIR Installed Sales, LLC, where they held the roles of Business Analyst/Technical Project Manager, Purchasing & Estimating Manager, and Purchasing Agent/Lead Estimator. In these roles, they managed a team of 3 responsible for fulfilling bid requests and customer orders, produced bids that won multi-million dollar contracts, and procured, managed and outsourced manufacture of $2 million in stock inventory. In 2022, they joined Red Foundry as a Software Engineer, where they built mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript, collaborated with design team to produce modular, reusable, and easily-maintainable components, and drove design and development by contributing to all standups, scrums, client and planning meetings.

Evan Garris is currently attending Fullstack Academy to pursue a Software Engineering degree, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2022. Evan previously obtained a BA in Philosophy from North Carolina State University. In addition, they also attended a Summer Study Abroad Program in Cairo, Egypt. Evan has also obtained several certifications, including JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures from freeCodeCamp in January 2022, Python (Basic) from HackerRank in September 2021, Data Scientist with Python (26 Courses, 100 hours) from DataCamp in April 2020, and Data Analyst with R (19 Courses, 64 hours) from DataCamp in September 2019.
