Eric Beane has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Eric began their career as an Account Executive at Light & Associates, where they provided administrative and planning assistance to the account management team. Eric then joined lookandfeel new media as a Senior Account Executive. After that, Beane worked at H&R Block as an Assistant Marketing Manager, where they developed e-commerce marketing initiatives and online marketing programs.
In 2004, they joined VML as an Account Supervisor, responsible for overall agency services on accounts and client relationship management. Eric later became the Director of Analytics & Optimization and then the Managing Director of Analytics & Optimization, where they managed and grew the web analytics team and worked on various clients. Beane's roles at VML also included being the North American Managing Director of Data Insights, where they were responsible for data strategy and management of a team of data and insight analysts.
In 2017, Beane joined SimilarWeb as a Customer Advisory Board Member. Eric then moved to Red Fuse Communications in 2020, where they served as the Global Lead of Data Analytics & Measurement. In addition to their role at Red Fuse, they continued to work for VMLY&R as the Chief Analytics & Data Officer.
Currently, Eric Beane holds the position of Chief Analytics & Data Officer at VMLY&R.
Eric Beane earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism & Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising from Kansas State University. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Google Adwords and Google Analytics from Google in December 2016. Eric also completed the Brandwatch Foundations certification, although it is unclear when they obtained it.
