Smart Systems Engineer at Red Sea Farms

Abdulrahman Binmahfuth has held a variety of roles in a variety of companies since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Marketing Intern at deVere Group, where they created a new marketing strategy targeting prospects affected by Brexit and sold financial services to potential prospects. Abdulrahman also took a Japanese Cooking Course at Tokyo Kitchen that year. In 2017, they worked as an Assistant Product Manager at Boneh Coffee, where they created an efficient coffee production line, established an efficient metric for measuring coffee quality, and found distribution channels. In 2019, they worked as a Programming Tutor at FunTech - Technology for Fun, where they taught the principles of coding and the concepts of logic gates. Abdulrahman also participated in a Biohackathon with OpenCell, where they set up an experiment environment to test the consistency and accuracy of the actuators controlling the plate. In 2020, they worked as a Research Engineer Intern at Ultraleap, where they tested the performance of different MEMS microphones in the presence of ultrasound and proposed a new metric system to characterise the performance of MEMS. Currently, they are working as a Smart Systems Engineer at RedSea and an Engineer at iyris.

Abdulrahman Binmahfuth completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester between 2013 and 2017. Abdulrahman then went on to pursue a Master of Science - MS in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol between 2018 and 2019. Abdulrahman is currently enrolled in a Nanodegree in Computer Vision from Udacity, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
