Joel Troughton

Joel Troughton has worked for five different companies, beginning in 2011 with SPECIFIC IKC as a Research Engineer. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Swansea University as a Technology Transfer Fellow. Joel then moved to KAUST, where they held the roles of Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow until 2018. Joel then co-founded iyris, and is currently Director of Smart Systems at RedSea.

Joel Troughton completed a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Swansea University in 2011, following a three-year program from 2008. Joel then went on to pursue an Engineering Doctorate from Swansea University, which they completed in 2016.
