Tonye Preghafi

Tonye PREGHAFI has a strong background in the logistics and freight industry. Tonye started their career in 2004 at Red Star Express Plc, where they served as a Commercial/Territory Executive, focusing on identifying and growing client relationships. Tonye later moved on to become a Sectoral Manager, responsible for developing business activities within the oil and gas sector. Tonye successfully expanded the scope of the business and won contracts with major companies in the industry. In 2013, Tonye joined FedEx as a Learning and Development Manager, where they identified training needs and designed development programs. Tonye then returned to Red Star Express Plc in 2016 and took on the role of Divisional Managing Director at Red Star Freight Ltd, where they led overall management, improved efficiency, and significantly increased revenue. In 2019, they moved to Red Star Support & Print Services Ltd as the Divisional Managing Director, responsible for new deal origination, business development, and implementing marketing initiatives. Currently, Tonye is the Chief Innovation Officer at Red Star Express Plc.

Tonye PREGHAFI has a diverse education history. They obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Business School Nederland in the years 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in History from Lagos State University from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, Tonye has a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business from Emeritus, obtained in 2022. They have also acquired various certifications from institutions such as Emeritus, FutureLearn, LinkedIn, The Wharton School, and Coursera Verified Certificates in subjects like digital transformation, strategic innovation, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, and managing people.
