Sam Liu

Sam Liu is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in digital ASIC and FPGA design. Currently serving as a Sr. Principal FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer at RED Digital Cinema since November 2019, Liu previously worked at Broadcom for over 20 years as a Master Digital ASIC Design Engineer, focusing on a variety of digital design projects including Ethernet controllers and custom networking solutions. Prior experience includes a role as Sr. Member of the Technical Staff at TRW, where work involved radiation-hardened processors and broadband digital tuners, and an internship at JPL, contributing to ground receiver analysis for Low Earth Orbiters. Liu holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree from the City University of New York.
