Sam Reynolds has held a variety of roles in the entertainment industry since 2010. In 2010, they began as a Music Writer for Junkee Media. In 2011, they became a Radio Producer and Presenter for Radio Adelaide, producing the station's Breakfast program. In 2012, they held two roles concurrently, as a Radio Producer for FIVEaa and a Music Writer for Rip It Up Publishing. From 2017 to 2018, they held Box Office Assistant roles for Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, The Garden Of Unearthly Delights, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2018, they were also a Business Analyst for Red61, providing technical support for clients using the Red61 ticketing software, assisting new clients with training and set-up, and writing and producing training documentation. Additionally, they were a Customer Support Specialist for Red61 and an Artist Ticketing Coordinator for Adelaide Fringe.

Sam Reynolds attended the University of South Australia from 2010 to 2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism. Prior to that, they attended Christian Brothers' College from 2005 to 2009.
