Kristen Branford began their work experience in 1998 as a Site Engineer at Sir Robert McAlpine, working on the West Quay Shopping Complex in Southampton. Kristen then moved on to be a Senior Engineer at JOHN MOWLEM CONSTRUCTION PLC, where they worked on the Spinnaker Tower Project in Portsmouth. In 2002, they became a Section Engineer at Morgan Sindall for the Contract 310 CTRL in London. Kristen continued their career at Commercial Marine and Piling Limited as a Marine Project Manager from 2005 to 2006. Kristen then joined Costain as an Agent for the Holmesdale Tunnel Refurbishment on the M25, before moving on to Balfour Beatty plc as a Section Manager for The East London Line Railway. Kristen's longest tenure was at Commercial Marine and Piling, where they served as an Operations Director from 2008 to 2015, managing specialist civil marine contracts. Most recently, they held leadership positions at Red7Marine, serving as the Commercial Director from 2016 to 2018 and currently holding the position of Managing Director.

Kristen Branford obtained a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Solent University in 1998. In 2014, they also received a Project Management qualification from the Institute of Project Management. Additionally, they pursued Finance and Financial Management Services at City, University of London in 2015. Kristen completed their education journey with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2018, specializing in an Essential in Business Certificate.
