Redbud Writing Project
Emily Cataneo is a co-founder and co-director of the Redbud Writing Project, a role held since May 2019. Previously, Emily served as a graduate teaching assistant at North Carolina State University from September 2017 to May 2019, where syllabi were designed and fiction and nonfiction writing classes taught to undergraduate students. From December 2016 to June 2018, Emily was the social media manager for the Jewish Women's Archive, promoting feminist historical narratives on various platforms. Emily contributed as a freelance book critic for The Christian Science Monitor between May 2012 and October 2017 and provided freelance writing services for FIND MBA and LLM GUIDE, researching and writing about trends in business education. Additionally, Emily worked as a correspondent for the Boston Globe and reported for GateHouse Media New England, Bay Windows, and South End News, covering a range of topics. Emily holds a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Journalism from Boston University, including a study abroad program in London.
