Dr. Vijay Reddy, a fifth-generation farmer, settled in West Texas in the 1970s earning a PhD in plant science and soil chemistry eventually planting grapes when the Texas wine industry was just emerging. Today, he grows 38 Vitis vinifera varieties and sells his sought-after premium wine grapes to more than two dozen of the state’s wineries at each harvest.
 
Reddy Vineyards produces small amounts of modern, stylish, hand-crafted luxury wines that reflect the culture and craft of Texas fine wine.
