Dr. Dave Friese

Director Of Education And Men's Ministries at Redeemer Presbyterian Church

Dr. Dave Friese has a significant amount of work experience in various roles within the ministry and pastoral counseling field. Dr. Dave started their career in 1979 at First Baptist Church of Lakewood as the Pastor of Junior High and Preteen Ministries, where they led a ministry of over 400 students and organized camps and retreats. In 1993, they joined Seacoast Community Church as the Pastor of Student Ministry/Families/Leadership Development, where they grew the junior high, high school, and college ministries and mentored other pastors. In 2008, Dr. Friese moved back to First Baptist Church of Lakewood as the Pastor of Adult/Family Ministries, where they developed vision and strategies for the youth, family, and adult ministries. Dr. Dave also created an intern program during their time there. Furthermore, Dr. Friese has worked as a freelance speaker since 1979, where they conducted seminars, guest instructed at Biola University and San Diego Christian College, and authored various curriculum materials related to spiritual growth, apologetics, Bible studies, and marriage and family issues. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Education and Men's Ministries at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Additionally, they serve as the Pastoral Counselor and President at Restore and Rebuild Ministries. Dr. Friese's work experience reflects their extensive knowledge and expertise in ministry leadership and pastoral counseling.

Dr. Dave Friese has a strong educational background in the field of Christian education. Dr. Dave earned a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education from Biola University. Dr. Dave then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Christian Education with a focus on Education and Counseling from Talbot Seminary. Following this, they completed their Doctor of Educational Ministry in Family and Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.
