Alison Mackey currently serves as the Acting Team Leader for the Tenancy Team at Redfern Legal Centre, overseeing the Inner Sydney Tenants' Advice and Advocacy Service from October 2023 to April 2024. Alison has held various roles in the legal field, including Solicitor and Volunteer Solicitor at the Refugee Youth Peer Mentoring Program since November 2018 and previously worked as a Graduate Solicitor at Whittens & McKeough, and as a Law Student Volunteer at EDO NSW. Alison's experience also includes a background as an Administrative Assistant at Maree Garrett and Associates and extensive academic achievements, including a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia and a combined Bachelor of Arts (Politics) and Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University.

WHO WE ARE Redfern Legal Centre (RLC) is an independent, non-profit community centre dedicated to promoting social justice and human rights. WHAT WE DO We offer free legal advice, referral and casework to disadvantaged people living in the City of Sydney, Botany Bay and Leichhardt local government areas. Our specialist areas of work are financial abuse, tenancy, credit and debt, employment, discrimination, international students, health justice partnership and complaints about police and other government agencies.
