Judith Simon

Judith Simon is currently the Vice President of Operational Excellence at Redfin. Judith was hired in January of 2017 to build a bridge between innovation and execution, enabling organization nimbleness through massive growth. As the VP of Operational Excellence, they are responsible for driving change initiatives to drive adoption and deliver sustainable and scalable business performance in field operations. This includes working collaboratively with the sales force, product, engineering and marketing to solve the right problems, the right way. Judith is also responsible for ensuring a balanced portfolio of projects delivered to meet strategic goals. Additionally, they lead a team of 35 with up to 12 direct reports that report to the President of Real Estate Operations with full P&L responsibilities.

Some of their notable accomplishments include designing and integrating new standards for operational excellence, including new roles, tools, process and governance; as well as streamlining internal process for innovation and elevating success rate of implementation of 70+ projects with minimal quality defects. Judith also introduced a collaborative process to define national standards as ‘playbooks’, tackling key hindrance for growth and innovation; which then enabled new capabilities for automation, process improvement and training. Lastly, they created a new capability and lens into drivers of COGS, allowing for achievement of year one target reduction of over $100/transaction per multiyear margin plan.

They are on a team with Jason Aleem - SVP, Real Estate Operations, Chris Prescott - Redfin Market Manager for Minneapolis, and Aaron Noe - National Head of Renovations. Judith Simon reports to Adam Wiener, President, Real Estate Operations.
