Vanessa brings to the Firm an extensive depth and breadth of human resources (“HR”) experience, including over three decades of dedicated law firm service in the field. She leverages her skills and knowledge to manage change throughout diverse and established organizations and is passionate about creating vision-driven, goal-focused, and solution-oriented HR programs. Vanessa focuses on mentoring and leading professionals, developing and directing processes, and creating efficient and effective best practices. Her ability to provide the tools and resources necessary to maximize potential helps drive operational excellence and employee well-being.
At Redgrave, Vanessa oversees the strategy and execution of HR programs and practices that attract, motivate, and retain diverse talent, delivering exceptional results and ensuring long-term success. She works with her team and leadership to build and guide a wide range of initiatives at the Firm, including employee lifecycle process and recruitment, employee relations, benefits, diversity and inclusion, social activities, compliance, and day-to-day administration.
Vanessa is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators, serving as Co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee from 2015-2016 and Chair from 2016-2017, and of the Human Resource Certification Institute, where she serves on the Exam Development and Review Panel. She is also a member of the International Employee Benefits Foundation, Human Resources Association of the National Capital Area, Society for Human Resource Management, Human Capital Institute, and American Management Association.
Vanessa received both her M.B.A. and B.S. in Business Administration from Trinity University. She is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SCP) by the Society for Human Resources (SHRM). Vanessa holds a graduate certificate in Professional Services Firm Leadership from George Washington University.
