James Beer

James Beer is an experienced executive with a career spanning over 18 years as a public-company CFO for major companies across three industries. His CFO experience at American Airlines, Symantec, McKesson, and Atlassian is further complemented by the variety of leadership roles he served in at American Airlines, including Head of Europe and Asia. He began his career as a programmer for Accenture's clients. During his seven years as a consultant, he led client system design and implementation initiatives, as well as technology strategy projects. James is a seasoned board member and currently sits on the boards of Alaska Air Group/Alaska Airlines, Docusign, and Zscaler.

James holds a B.Sc in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His diverse educational background has equipped him with a well-rounded perspective and a strong foundation in both technical and business acumen. Outside of his professional endeavors, James prioritizes dedicating time to his family and a variety of outdoor activities. He is an avid private pilot and enjoys exploring the world.
