Tyler Hutcherson

Tyler Hutcherson is a seasoned AI and machine learning engineer with extensive experience in both leading teams and developing complex AI solutions. As the Lead Applied AI Engineer at Redis since August 2022, Tyler oversees a group of engineers focusing on customer-driven and ecosystem-focused AI projects. Previously, Tyler served as a Senior Applied AI Engineer at Redis, contributing to the Redis Vector Library and various AI integrations, and played a key role in integrating Redis Cloud with Amazon Bedrock. Tyler's background includes significant roles at Skafos.ai, where Tyler served as Principal Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer, specializing in scalable product search engines and backend architecture in Kubernetes. Early career experiences include a Data Science Engineer position at Metis Machine LLC, a data science capstone project at the University of Virginia, and an engineering internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Tyler holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Virginia.
