Chen Wei

Detector Product Engineer at Redlen Technologies Inc.

Chen Wei has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 2007, they interned as a Technical Intern for a joint project between Siemens and Chenhao Advance Lighting Technology Company, where they assisted in circuit design and R&D documentation for advanced light equipment. From 2009 to 2010, Chen Wei worked as a Research Assistant at the RF/Microwave and Wireless Laboratory at Dalhousie University, where they developed baseband transceiver designs and analyzed synchronization algorithms for ultra-wideband wireless communication systems. They also worked as a Teaching Assistant during the same time, marking assignments and instructing tutorials and lab training sessions on electromagnetic fields and communication electronics courses. Starting in 2010, Chen Wei worked as a Medical Device Engineer at the IWK Health Centre and the National Research Council Institute for Biodiagnostics, and then as a Product Development Engineer at Mindful Scientific Inc from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they joined Altera as an Advanced Electronic Design Engineer until 2016. Following that, Chen Wei worked as a Trainee at the PCB Training Center from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they were self-employed as a PCB Layout Designer before joining Redlen Technologies Inc. in 2019 as an Intermediate Electrical Engineer.

Chen Wei began their education in 2004 at East China Normal University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electronic Science and Technology. Chen successfully completed this program in 2008. Building on this foundation, from 2008 to 2010, Chen attended Dalhousie University and obtained a Master of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
