Gorm Hillgaar

Gorm Hillgaar is a seasoned maritime executive with extensive experience in the maritime sector, currently serving as the Maritim direktør at Redningsselskapet since April 2024. Prior to this role, Gorm held various senior positions at Höegh LNG over a span of 12 years, culminating as Senior Vice President of Asset Management where responsibilities included heading Commercial Operations. Gorm's career also includes key roles in fleet and technical management at Hoegh LNG Fleet Management AS, Leif Höegh UK Ltd, and Höegh Fleet Services AS. Gorm's foundational experience began as a Service Engineer at ITT Flygt. Gorm holds a Master of Science in Marine Technology from the University of Strathclyde, a Cand. Mag in International Technology Management from Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with Mechatronics from OsloMet.
