Piyush Agarwal

Piyush Agarwal began their career in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Systems. In 2010, they joined Nimbula (acquired by Oracle) as a Software Engineer, helping to deliver private cloud functionality. In 2012, they moved to Insieme Networks (acquired by Cisco) as a Member of Technical Staff, where they built networking software components and distributed control plane features. In 2016, they joined Google as a Software Engineer on the Google Assistant backend team. In 2019, they joined Rubrik, Inc. as an Engineering Manager, where they managed the entire group's charter. In 2020, they moved to Stripe as an Engineering Manager, where they owned and managed the backend infrastructure for Stripe's foray into in-person payments and commerce. In 2022, they joined Redpanda Data as the Director of Software Engineering, where they support the Core organization with a fully remote team.

Piyush Agarwal obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Osmania University between 1999 and 2003. Piyush then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin between 2003 and 2005.
