Jacob Hillis

Jacob Hillis has a diverse work experience across multiple companies. Jacob started their career in 2010 as a Summer Intern at Alcatel-Lucent, where they designed and developed a web interface for an application enablement project. Jacob also set up and maintained the Directory Server for the project. From 2010 to 2012, Jacob worked as a Video Applications Architect at Alcatel-Lucent, where they wrote requirements documents, supported and created demos for IMS video and application enablement, and tested functionalities of video conferencing systems.

In 2012, Jacob joined RedSky Technologies as a Developer and later transitioned to the role of Software Engineering Manager in October 2019. At RedSky Technologies, they played a key role in software development and managing a team of developers.

Prior to their role at Alcatel-Lucent, Jacob worked at Cinemark from 2008 to 2018, where they initially started as general movie theatre personnel and was eventually promoted to Assistant Manager. In their management position, they were responsible for hiring decisions, conflict resolution, and providing performance feedback to their direct reports.

Jacob Hillis received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in E-Commerce Technology from DePaul University. Jacob attended the university from 2006 to 2010.
