María del Pilar Piñeiro

Maria del Pilar Piñeiro has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning, data science, and bioinformatics.

María del Pilar is currently working at Redstor as the Machine Learning Chapter Lead, starting in July 2022.

Prior to that, they worked at Ciklum from November 2020 to July 2022, first as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Redstor and then as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Maria also has experience at Accenture as a Data Scientist from April 2019 to November 2020.

Before joining Accenture, they worked at IBIMA as a Bioinformatician from February 2018 to April 2019, where they conducted research in the field of epigenetics and integrated multi-omic data.

María del Pilar also gained research experience at Universidad de Málaga as a Researcher and Developer in Big Data and metaheuristics from October 2017 to February 2018.

Maria began their career with an internship at Centro de Investigaciones Medico Sanitarias (CIMES) as a Neurology department researcher from March 2017 to July 2017.

From 2017 to 2018, María del Pilar Piñeiro attended Universidad de Málaga and obtained a Master's degree in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, specializing in Computer Science.

In 2018, they attended Centro de Investigación Principe Felipe and completed a program on Multi-omics Integration analysis for gene expression in the field of Bioinformatics and data science.

From 2013 to 2017, they studied at Universidad de Málaga and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health Engineering, with a mention in Bioinformatics.

In 2018 to 2020, María del Pilar Piñeiro pursued a certification in Quantitative Analysis from DataCamp.
