Kate Brooks is a seasoned photographer and filmmaker with extensive experience in visual storytelling and education. Currently serving as a photographer at Redux Pictures since August 2013, Kate has also contributed to the Bakala Foundation and American University as a teaching professional, focusing on photojournalism and communications. Contributions to the Bend Film Festival involved critiquing films as part of the screening committee, while an internship at Hero Squared provided hands-on experience in script breakdown and production scheduling. Notable works include directing and producing "The Last Animals," available on Hulu, and significant contributions to National Geographic and Smithsonian Magazine, encompassing photography across various global locations. Kate holds a Master’s degree in Film & Media from American University and has participated in the Knight Wallace Fellowship at the University of Michigan.
