Mark Lake

Technical Fellow

Mark Lake is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in advanced composite structures and deployable mechanisms. Currently serving as Technical Fellow at Redwire Space since October 2020, Lake previously held notable positions at Roccor, LLC, including Chief Technology Officer and VP of Technology, where contributions focused on high-performance, cost-effective solutions for "New Space" applications. An adjunct member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of Colorado from 1996 to 2019, Lake provided technical guidance on multiple Ph.D. projects. Prior roles include Executive Consultant at EagleRock Consulting, Chief Engineer at Composite Technology Development, Inc., and Senior Research Engineer at NASA Langley Research Center, where significant advancements in spacecraft structures were achieved. Lake earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University, as well as a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
