Michael McDaniel

Michael McDaniel, P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Redwood Materials since July 2023. Throughout their career, Michael has held various positions at The Dow Chemical Company. From January 2017 to July 2023, they worked as the Global Piping Engineering Design Leader, overseeing expertise areas of Piping Materials Engineering, Piping Stress, and Pressure Relief. Michael also served as the Global Piping Materials Engineering Leader from July 2014 to July 2023, where they were responsible for global leadership of Dow's Piping Material's Engineering Group and piping technology development. In addition, Michael served as a Project Engineer, leading a capital project to extend the life of water distribution piping at Dow's Freeport sites from June 2018 to July 2019. Michael has also held roles as the Piping Specifications Resource Center Leader from December 2011 to June 2016, the Pipe, Flange and Fitting (PFF) Technical Resource Leader from April 2013 to June 2014, and the Piping Materials Engineer from May 2008 to July 2013. Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Furnaces and Fired Equipment Maintenance Engineer from June 2007 to May 2008.

Michael McDaniel, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, which they obtained between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, they have received the Professional Engineer certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
