Lucy Ruiz

Lucy Ruiz has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Lucy began their career as a Program Director at Sacramento Dental Sealants In Schools Partnership in 1999. Lucy then worked at First Data Corporation as a Staff Accountant and later as a Senior Staff Accountant from 2002 to 2004. From 2004 to 2006, they served as a Senior Accountant at Baruk Mgmt, Inc. In 2007, Lucy joined Redwood Trust, Inc. as an Assistant Vice President and later held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, Accounting Manager and Senior Vice President, Assistant Controller. Lucy currently serves as the Managing Director and Corporate Controller at Redwood Trust, Inc. Additionally, Lucy is also actively involved in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Redwood as the Co-Chair of the Redwood DEIB Employee Council since 2021.

Lucy Ruiz holds a Master's in Accountancy with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Golden Gate University. Furthermore, they have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Wellesley College.
