Donal Morris has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Donal founded RedZinc in 2004 and served as the CEO, overseeing various projects and initiatives, including the Project Management Board 5GEx 5GPPP Project. Donal also acted as the Project Manager for RedZinc from January 2016 to February 2018. In 2004, Donal established the EuQoS Consortium, a group of organizations developing a quality of service platform for heterogeneous networks. Donal raised €16m to finance the project and led a team of engineers for over three years. Donal was also the Director of the IPsphere Forum from June 2005 to June 2007, contributing to the development of standards for a framework that federates the resources of multiple service stakeholders. Before their time at RedZinc and the IPsphere Forum, Donal was the CEO of Sherkin Communications from July 1998 to February 2004. From 1992 to 1998, they served as a Consortium Leader for Teltec Ireland, and from 1991 to 1992, they worked as a Product Manager at Unimatic Engineers. Donal began their career in 1986 as a Project Engineer at Blease Medical before becoming a Consultant at Chorus Technology from September 1989 to October 1991.
Donal Morris attended Dublin City University from 1982 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the field of Electronics.
