Stephen Illes-Cody

Stephen Illes-Cody is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Mechatronic Systems and Principal Engineer - Mechatronics at REE Automotive since September 2021. Previously held the position of SQA Program Manager at Rivian for nearly a year and has a solid background in electronics engineering with ZF Group, where responsibilities included leading mechanical design for steer-by-wire electronic power packs. Stephen's extensive experience spans roles at Ricardo, General Dynamics Land Systems, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan Motor Corporation, Honda Motor Europe Ltd, 920Engineering, and Akebono Brake Corporation, highlighting expertise in brake systems, chassis engineering, project management, and design solutions. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006.
