VP, Mergers & Acquisitions at Reedy Industries

As VP of mergers and acquisitions, CJ Folden is responsible for developing and managing the company’s inorganic growth strategy. He identifies regional target markets, sources acquisition candidates, and engages with owners to understand their financial goals, business objectives, culture, values, and market differentiation. CJ’s experience in leading a high-growth HVAC and mechanical services company, together with his strong background in finance and accounting, enable him to bring a seasoned perspective to the assessment of organizational fit and cultural alignment. He helps determine valuation and purchase price, and supports negotiation through to LOI approval. CJ then manages the acquisition process from due diligence through to integration, ensuring that all timelines and deadlines are met. CJ has been instrumental in supporting the acquisition of seven companies throughout the Midwest and is currently managing an active pipeline of opportunities for expansion to other regions of the US.

Previously, CJ was the president and owner of First Point Mechanical, which was acquired by Reedy Industries in 2019. Prior to acquisition, CJ doubled revenues over a four-year period, growing the company from 15 to 40 technicians. His prior experience includes roles as CFO for an $80M design/build services and controls contractor and a $50M sheet metal contractor specializing in tenant buildouts.

CJ earned a master’s degree in accounting finance from Northern Illinois University.
