Scott Nielsen

Scott Nielsen has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Scott began their career as a Project Engineer at Layton Construction in 2004. From there, they worked at Centex Homes as a Purchasing Coordinator and later as an Estimator. In 2008, they became the Director of Western Operations at Allied Modular Building Systems. In 2010, they founded their own company, Eden Builders, LLC, where they served as the President and focused on constructing high-quality smart buildings. In 2013, they joined Cottonwood Residential as the Director of Construction, overseeing multi-family development projects. Scott was later promoted to Vice President of Construction Services, where they managed general contractors, architects, and design teams. In 2023, they joined Reef Capital Partners as a Project Manager.

Scott Nielsen has a diverse education history. Scott obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 1998 to 2004. Following that, they pursued an MBA at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, specializing in Strategy, Investment, and Finance, from 2006 to 2009. These academic achievements were complemented by two additional certifications they earned. In 2003, they became a LEED Accredited Professional in ID+C through the US Green Building Council - Orange County. Later, in 2010, they obtained the B100 General Contractor certification from the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.
