Sean Maisano

Sean Maisano has a diverse range of work experience in the footwear design industry. Sean is currently working as a Senior Footwear Designer at Reef since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Studio Noyes as a Senior Designer from August 2016 to November 2021, where they led client designs and created innovative concepts for various brands such as Adidas Originals, The North Face, Lululemon, and more.

Before Studio Noyes, Sean worked at New Balance in two different roles. From October 2014 to July 2016, they were a Footwear Designer and was responsible for relaunching the PF Flyers brand and overseeing creative projects. Sean also collaborated with other brands for collaborations during this time. Prior to that, from June 2014 to October 2014, they were a Footwear Designer and focused on advancing innovation and design thinking within the company.

Before joining New Balance, Sean worked as a Freelance Footwear Designer at their own company, Sean Maisano Design, from June 2013 to June 2016. Sean provided footwear design services to clients such as Adidas Originals, Disney, and Olukai, receiving recognition for their work with Red Dot and BEST awards.

Sean's career in footwear design began in 2012 when they worked as a Footwear Designer at Adidas on a year-long contract. During this time, they collaborated with the Design Director and Marketing to drive brand initiatives and gather market research.

Prior to that, Sean started their career at Creative Recreation LLC, where they initially worked as a Footwear Design Intern from March 2009 to March 2010. Sean was then promoted to a Footwear Designer position from March 2010 to November 2011.

Overall, Sean Maisano has extensive experience in leading designs, creating innovative concepts, collaborating with global brands, and driving brand initiatives in the footwear design industry.

From 2005 to 2008, Sean Maisano attended ArtCenter College of Design, where they focused on Industrial and Product Design.
