John Ahrens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Reel Foods, a company dedicated to creating cultivated fish fillets that are indistinguishable from traditional fish. Prior to this, John worked as a Consultant at MyoKardia in 2020. John also has research experience, having served as a Research Assistant at Stanford University from 2013 to 2016 and at the University of Washington from 2013 to 2013. Additionally, they gained research internship experience at the Institute for Systems Biology in 2012.
John Ahrens completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University from 2012 to 2015. Subsequently, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering at Harvard University between 2016 and 2022.
