Reel Works
Mariano Wainsztein is an Adjunct Professor and Academic Advisor at Hunter College. Mariano also serves as a Filmmaker in Residence at Reel Works, a Teaching Artist at Educational Alliance, and previously worked as a Media Teacher at Educational Video Center. Mariano holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Hunter College.

Reel Works mentors, inspires, and empowers underserved NYC youth to share their stories through filmmaking, creating a springboard to successful careers in media and beyond. Reel Works matches teens 1:1 with professional filmmaker mentors to tell their stories and have their voices heard. MediaMKRS, a workforce development program within Reel Works, aims to diversify the media landscape and create equitable solutions through paid internships and job training programs.
