Donald Aubrecht has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Donald currently serves as the COO at ReelView Fishing, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at L3Harris Technologies from September 2020 to March 2023, where they initially served as a Program Manager. In this role, they led a high-performance team focused on developing and commercializing safe and high-energy density aluminum-water energy systems for maritime applications. Donald also took on the responsibility of leading the site-level PMO, overseeing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business performance analysis. Before becoming the Program Manager, Donald worked as the Director of Systems Engineering at L3Harris Technologies from January 2018 to September 2020. In this position, they led the systems engineering team in generating conceptual solutions, conducting trade space analysis, and authoring RFP responses. Prior to L3Harris Technologies, Donald worked as a Principal Scientist at Physical Sciences Inc. from July 2016 to January 2018. Here, they focused on developing early-stage imaging and sensing technologies tailored to UAV and low-SWaP packages. Donald also managed multiple projects and authored white papers and RFP responses. Donald started their career at Harvard University, where they held various roles including Postdoctoral Fellow from July 2013 to June 2016, Research Assistant from September 2007 to June 2013, and Teaching Fellow from September 2007 to December 2010. Additionally, Donald worked as an Engineering Consultant at Open Water Power from October 2013 to June 2014, as a Mechanical Engineer at RainDance Technologies from June 2007 to August 2007, and as a Test Engineer at Moog Inc. from June 2006 to August 2006.
Donald Aubrecht obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Physics from Cornell University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Donald then pursued their education at Harvard University, where they earned their Master of Science (S.M.) degree in Applied Physics from 2006 to 2008. Continuing their academic journey at Harvard, Donald completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Physics from 2006 to 2013.
