Helen Rai, MSW, is an experienced social work professional with a strong background in client engagement and program support. Currently serving as the Director of Client Engagement at ReEstablish Richmond since November 2017, Helen has also held various roles there, including Program Support Contractor and Resource Development VISTA. Previously, Helen worked as a Circles RVA Coach and a Master of Social Work Intern at Circles Ashland, where responsibilities included managing communication strategies and curriculum development. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Social Work, focusing on Administration, Planning, and Policy Practice, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. Helen's diverse experience encompasses researching social issues, supporting refugee communities, and utilizing digital platforms for outreach and resource development.

We work in collaboration with resettlement agencies, government services, faith communities, and volunteers. We are committed to creating greater opportunities for refugees and new immigrants in Richmond by enabling access to services that benefit their future. The “we” here includes all of us — staff, volunteers, community partners, and donors — working to make Richmond a warmer, more welcoming place for everyone.
