Sam Buck is a seasoned professional in development and social impact, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Development at ReFED since February 2022. Prior to this role, Sam co-founded Michigan Climate Venture, a program at the University of Michigan focusing on climate change mitigation through transformative education and investment opportunities. Sam's background includes positions as a Marketing and Strategy Fellow at Rare, Director of Fund Development at the University of Michigan Ross Social Venture Fund, and a Farber Fellow at REDF, which supports social enterprises. With experience in both academic and nonprofit settings, Sam has demonstrated expertise in fundraising, marketing, and strategic development, bolstered by dual master's degrees in Sustainability and Business Administration from the University of Michigan, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology from UC Santa Barbara.
