Tim Williams

Tim Williams has a diverse range of work experience in the field of technical and network security. Tim started their career at Computer Sciences Corporation where they gained experience in software engineering, particularly with large VAX systems and multiple single board computers. Tim then moved on to Verdix, where they led the development of the first B2 evaluated network component, which allowed for the secure transmission of multiple levels of classification and categories over the same network.

After Verdix, Tim joined Cryptek as the CTO, where they provided design, development, and certification leadership for the company's line of network security products. Tim worked with various government agencies and large company partners to integrate their technology in the cross domain environment.

Following their time at Cryptek, Tim started their own consulting company, Tim Williams Consulting, where they served as CEO. Tim then joined Referentia Systems, Inc. as a Technical Director, where they developed services and tools for risk and security control assessments for private organizations and civilian agencies. Tim also provided guidance and support for the design and accreditation of security systems for the Department of Defense.

Tim Williams attended T.C. Williams Senior High School from 1976 to 1978. Tim then went on to study at Virginia Tech from 1978 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
