Cátia Crespo

Cátia Crespo has a strong background in product management and research. Cátia currently serves as the Director of Product Management Software at Refeyn, where they have been working since September 2022. Prior to this, they held a Product Manager role at Refeyn from June 2021 to August 2022. Before joining Refeyn, Cátia worked at ANSYS, Inc. as a Product Manager from November 2019 to June 2021 and as an Associate Product Manager from April 2019 to November 2019. Cátia'sexperience also includes a Product Manager position at Repositive from September 2018 to March 2019, where they managed various projects related to human genomic data and collaborated with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Cátia's research experience includes working as a Researcher at the MPI-CBG - Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics from September 2013 to August 2018, where they conducted multiple research projects in the fields of ophthalmology, developmental biology, and genetics. Cátia also worked as a Researcher at CEDOC - Chronic Diseases FCM Nova from November 2011 to July 2013. Cátia's subject expertise includes human genomics, developmental biology, retinal development, genetics, and cell polarity.

Cátia Crespo completed their education at multiple institutions and obtained various degrees in the field of biology and biochemistry. Cátia began their academic journey at the University of Lisbon, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Science in 2010. This was followed by a Master's degree from the same institution, specifically from the Faculty of Science and the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (iMM), specializing in Biochemistry, which they completed in 2012.

Afterwards, Cátia went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Technische Universität Dresden, where they conducted research and gained expertise in the field of Biology. Cátia completed their PhD in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Cátia also obtained several certifications. Cátia completed a program called "The Circular Economy Masterclass" from the University of Exeter in March 2020. Prior to that, in December 2019, they acquired a certification in Product Management from Tarigo Product Management. Cátia also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner, which they obtained from the Scrum Alliance in November 2018.
