Kelly R. Janica

Kelly R. Janica has extensive experience in health, safety, and emergency response, currently serving as a Zone 2 HSE Specialist at Refinery Specialties, Inc. since December 2014, overseeing safety in multiple locations. Previously, Kelly held the position of Service Technician and Safety Coordinator since November 2011 at the same company. Kelly contributed as a Decon Supervisor during the MC-252 Deepwater Horizon Response from May to October 2010. Earlier experience includes serving as a Helicopter Pilot at Brazos Helicopters from 2006 to 2009 and a law enforcement career starting as Assistant Chief of Police at Edna Police Department from 1977 to 1988, followed by the role of Sheriff in Jackson County, Texas, from 1988 to 2005.
