Sarah Sheffer has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and outreach. Sarah started their career as an Olympic Hospitality Program Guide at NBC Universal in 2008. Sarah then worked as a Video Producer at Thomson Reuters/Video Cairo Satellite Services, where they produced breaking news video packages. Sarah later joined PBS NewsHour as a Broadcast Desk Assistant, where they assisted in the production of the nightly news broadcast.
After that, Sarah worked at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace as a Communications Coordinator and later as an Outreach Manager. Sarah then joined BCW Global as a Senior Associate, supporting the executive profile of the U.S. CEO and working with clients on various initiatives.
Sheffield's most recent role was with Refugees International, where they held multiple positions including Communications Officer, Senior Communications Officer, Director of Communications, and Vice President for Strategic Outreach. Currently, they are also working at The Refugee Advocacy Lab as the Interim Director and Communications Lead, providing strategic communications support and conducting research on effective strategies for mobilizing support for refugees.
Sarah Sheffer attended Northeastern University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Affairs.
