Mahamed ABSHIR is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in refugee resettlement and protection. Currently serving as a Resettlement Expert at RefugePoint since September 2022, Mahamed has previously held multiple roles at UNHCR, including Resettlement Assistant and Protection Assistant. Before joining UNHCR, Mahamed worked as a Child Protection Officer at Mother and Child Development Organisation-MCDO, and as an Interpreter/Translator at both UNHCR and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Mahamed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Jigjiga University.
