Mike Herman

SVP & General Counsel at Regency Centers

Prior to Regency, Mike worked for Rayonier, serving as Vice President and General Counsel in September 2003. He was then named Senior Vice President and General Counsel in March 2013. Following a successful spin-off, he was appointed as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Rayonier Advanced Materials. From 1997 to 2003, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of GenTek Inc., and its predecessor company, General Chemical Corporation, where he started in 1992.

Mike also was counsel to IBM’s Integrated Systems Solutions Corporation for two years and served four years as an associate with the international law firm Shearman & Sterling. He has extensive experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and environmental law.

Mike holds a BA in economics and literature from Binghamton University and a JD from St. John’s University School of Law.
