Destana received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University. In addition, he studied sustainability science under Alicia Harley and Bill Clark (fmr. Co-Chair of Harvard's Sustainability Science Program) and explored the economics of climate change and environmental policy under Robert Stavins (recognized White House advisor on environmental policy).
Outside of class, Destana was a leader in the impact investing group, where he developed initial components for a student-managed impact fund, led a research fellowship investigating DEI in private capital markets, and studied non-profit venture fund spinouts under HBS Professor Brian Trelstad (founding CIO Acumen Fund).
