Dr. Dena E. Cohen is the Chief Scientific Officer of RMS. She is responsible for the direction of RMS’s research program, oversees the research team, and leads product and process development for the company. She received a B.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of biology in 1998, and a Ph.D. degree from Harvard University in the field of genetics in 2005. She subsequently completed a Master of Liberal Arts degree in the field of management at the Harvard University Extension School. Her scientific research has been published in a variety of prestigious journals including Genes & Development, Developmental Cell, Nature Medicine, and the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.

They were founded in 2012 with a vision to harness the regenerative property of human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to produce pancreatic β (beta) islet cells to cure diabetes.
