Boris Boutkov is a computational scientist and software/data engineer currently serving as a Sr. Genomic Data Engineer at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they focus on developing high-quality data solutions and enterprise-level data pipelines for genetic and clinical data. Previously, Boris was a Graduate Student Researcher at the University at Buffalo, working on multiphysics finite element simulations, and also served as a Graduate Assistant teaching advanced mathematics. They began their career as an Application Developer at AmkaiSolutions, gaining experience in software development and database analysis, and conducted research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, focusing on epidemiological models and stochastic networks. Boris holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University at Buffalo, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University at Buffalo, respectively.
