Chet Metcalf

Chet Metcalf is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive currently serving as VP of R&D Chemistry at Regeneron since November 2023. Previously, Chet held the position of Vice President and Head of Chemistry at Mariana Oncology from 2021 to 2023, where leadership included overseeing drug discovery efforts for a radiopharmaceutical therapeutic platform and successfully transitioning the company to a clinical-stage entity. Chet's extensive experience also encompasses roles such as Head of Nanoparticle Drug Conjugate Technologies at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, and leadership positions at Cerulean Pharma, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, and ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, involving significant contributions to drug discovery in oncology and infectious diseases. Chet earned a PhD in Organic Synthesis from Yale University and a BS in Chemistry from Wayne State University.
