Igor Balta

Igor Balta possesses extensive experience in the maritime engineering field, having worked for various prestigious organizations since 2001. Currently serving as 1st Engineer, Hotel Engineer, and previously as 2nd Engineer at Regent Seven Seas Cruises since January 2016, responsibilities include watchkeeping and overseeing ship technical equipment. In addition, Igor Balta holds the position of Hotel 2nd Engineer at Carnival Cruise Line, managing technical operations of hotel machinery, including spa, sauna, and galley equipment. Prior experience includes roles as Staff Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer at Wilhelmsen Ship Management, where leadership in the engine department was gained, along with experience on passenger ships. Earlier roles included 3rd Engineer at Ibero Cruceros and Engine Cadet at Atlansk Plovidba Dubrovnik, contributing to a solid foundation in engine operations and maintenance.
