Brett Peters, PhD has an extensive work experience in the engineering field. In 2009, they began their career as a Teaching Assistant at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2010, they were a Quality Control Engineer (intern) at BMW Manufacturing. In 2011, they worked as a CFD Engineer at Michael Waltrip Racing and as a Design Engineer at Competition Race Parts. From 2012 to 2016, they were a PhD Mechanical engineering at UNC Charlotte, where their research focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics of high fidelity transient external aerodynamics for high performance and motorsports vehicles. In 2015, they worked as a Computational Analyst at Corvid Technologies. From 2016 to 2022, they were an Aerodynamics Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where they held positions as a Functional Attributes & Requirements; High Voltage Systems Engineer and a Vehicle Energy Management Engineer. Currently, they are a Sr. Aerodynamics Engineer at REGENT.
Brett Peters obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Fluids from the same university in 2011.
