Baskar Chitravel

Baskar Chitravel has extensive experience in information technology and software engineering, currently serving as a Programmer / Analyst IV at the University of California, Office of the President since July 2001, focusing on the maintenance of the Payroll Personnel System and supporting the UCPATH team with PeopleSoft HCM implementation. Prior to this role, Baskar was a Programmer / Analyst III, also maintaining the Payroll Personnel System. Baskar began the professional career at Mahindra - British Telecom (MBT) Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer, engaging in software development and consulting services. A consulting stint at Fortuna Technologies, Inc involved mainframe consulting for notable clients including Pacific Bell, IBM Global Services, and Wellsfargo Bank. Additionally, Baskar contributed to academia as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering shortly after graduation. Baskar holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences and Engineering from Anna University Chennai and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli.
