Niloufar Ameli, MS, is a seasoned statistician with extensive experience in managing and analyzing data across various research domains. Currently serving as Principal Statistician at the University of California, San Francisco's Department of Urology since April 2014, Niloufar has been involved in large-scale multisite research studies focusing on the epidemiology of HIV infection. Previously, experience includes a long tenure at UCSF from 1994 to 2013, where responsibilities comprised overseeing statistical analysis for the Women’s Interagency HIV Study. Earlier roles include a position as Statistician for the California Maternal and Child Health Project at UC Santa Barbara, and Senior Statistician at ExxonMobil, where statistical methods were applied to assess environmental impacts from the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Niloufar Ameli holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from Chico State University.
